Support Services for Upper Secondary Level


Start-up assistance

In order to start the new school year effortlessly and relieve your in-house IT department, you have the option of booking our "BYOD on-site start-up assistance" in the form of a help desk at your school during the first two weeks of school. The help desk can be booked by the hour or by the day.

Part of this start-up assistance is also a hardware lease: Should you experience that students come to class with non-functioning devices at the beginning of the school year and therefore cannot fully partake in the lessons, you can avert this with a hardware lease. We keep a mutually predefined number of convertibles ready for you to lend to your school or directly to students at very favorable rates until they have purchased a suitable device. This way, your IT department does not need to procure and maintain "backup hardware".

Training class supporters & cantonal Help Point

SSD has been operating several Help Points at universities in Switzerland for Neptun customers for many years. We bundle these many years of experience in the offer for vocational and upper secondary schools / grammar schools, which looks as follows:

  • 1st level support through class supporters: SSD organises and runs courses to train students as class supporters. Afterwards, they will be supported and provided with the latest information (newsletter, knowledgebase, courses). There is also the possibility to request help from our support coordination.
  • 2nd level support at a dedicated SSD Help Point: The SSD operates a dedicated contact point for hardware and software problems for one or more schools. At such a Help Point, advanced technical support is offered for hardware and software problems. The individual services can be agreed with the client (e.g. hardware repairs, support with warranty submissions to manufacturers, provision and management of loan/replacement equipment, etc.).

By combining the SSD BYOD programme "Projekt Neptun" and the support offer, the foundation provides broad support for schools that are on the way to digitising their teaching.
